Dan wordt het bijna tijd voor een nieuw klassiekertje op die plek.
Een mooie dc10 of een 727

Hmmm... I wouldn't consider the DC10 as a beautiful classic, yet... the 727 fits that description much better in my opinion...

Just been there again... cleaning goes smooth... even the undercarriage is shiny now!! IVW will be inspecting the aircraft this week. Minor technical problems to be solved. It is expected that TMR will say goodbye to us next tuesday APR 24th...

I am still amazed that they are fixing this beast. The sum of the parking fees, maintenance on the aircraft, Engine(s) etc. for an old bird.

I can imagine that a "new" plane is still much more expensive than getting this old lady back into the air...

Hi there to all ya Classic lovers...

I've been on board late this afternoon and they are still working on "this old girl", just some minor things I believe...
When I was asking one of the engineers if he had any idea when "she" is gonna fly, the answer was that they are still waiting for a "flight permit" by IVW... and they are also like to do a "test-run..." before they go... which is not a bad idea I presume...

So expected departure not before the weekend, maybe next week...
But as always, don't shoot the messenger... This is what I heard
this afternoon from the 6 "older", but very kind Portugese guys trying to get this beautiful " Three Holer" back into the air! RESPECT :worship:

Well, I try to keep you all informed if there is any new news...
