Hi Piet,

Would you know if all 4 Il76/78 are still at Waddington or did some of them return to India :?:

How many Sentrys and Nimrods were visible on the platforms (just to give an idea what to expect) :?:

Any Sentinels :?:

Thanks in advance, Michael

Today (Tuesday) all six Flankers flew a very short mission (45min. or so). They departed around 10.00. Later (around 15.30) another sortie was flown by 4. The IL78 didn't fly.

Numbers etc. already known.

As I'm in an Internetcafe now and can't see the AG, I'm not sure which spots 4 & 7 are. It IS however possible to walk along the fence (slippery muddy track) to see the Flankers (& Il78) at the platform. Bring a very high stepledder however, because the fence is more than 2 metres high.

We stood there today with a few people (10 or so), were noticed but left alone.

Spot 4 is not possible, spot 7 is ok, indeed the fence is high.
Some pictures from last Thursday can be seen on our website.

All pictures of IL's and Su-30's on the ground were made at spot 7.

Read on Fighter Control that 3x IL-76/78 will be back at Waddington this Saturday. Times mentioned 12.00, 12.30 and 13.00 local.

Anyone who has inside info such as flightplans to confirm this?
Any info from southern Europe (Tanagra again)?

Thanks in advance.

Looks like the same IL's are coming back:
ASTRA IL76 eta 1130
BISON IL76 eta 1145
PLUTO IL78 eta 1150

both the IL76 flight plans say K2663 as the reg so who knows and the IL78 says RK3451
Thanks to Del at Touchdown and MSF

LOG 12 july 2007

In the morning we were present to photograph the Sukhois.
First to the south for some pics of the Su-30s at the ramp, then to the WAVE for the taxishots and at last back to the south for the pics of the Su-30s recovering. Unfortunately no chute shots!
