This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).
Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.
Nice pics Motty! I was at Williamtown AB in 2000 and had 2 nice days over there with a lot of Hornets and MB326's (now replaced by Hawks). Very active airbase but indeed the aviationscene in Europe has more diversity in aircrafttypes and counties. But for us your pics are very exotic so keep them coming.

Might I suggest though that you may not get to see much Millitary activity if you travel at that time?
Your best options to see much activity at Williamtown, if you have to travel then, would be the last two weeks in January if you can.

I used to work on the MB-326s when I was in the RAAF.
One question, are my photos still visible to you guys or do they dissapear after a day?
When I come back to the message each day, I can't see my photos anymore.
A picture I got in my mailbox this morning from a good friend Kees van Brandwijk that recently moved Downunder.
This pic. was taken in the Sydney harbour at 08-07-07. the USS Kitty Hawk. he's NO spotter so i dont have a log.

The guy that you saw with the scramble-cap was mine brother PeterM, he is here also a member of scramble but is not so bussy anymore with posting, His camera gear was stolen is tasmania but he has it back now.
I am in sydney now and the wheater is bad thats why i got time to do some photo work. Amberley is a great airbase but not for the spotters. Only road where you can make photo's is old toowooba road and there is a dirttrack, about 200 mtrs before the base that leads to the taxitrack. from that spot you can see the airplanes take off on the other site of the base.
