Viewing Terrace at Schiphol....Is it still open ?

Hi All,

I am due to visit AMS for 2 days commencing Wednesday 12th September (next week !).

Can anyone tell me if the viewing terraces are still open as normal and from what times of day until closing ?

I was concerned that in view of the recent terrorism video from Bin Laden, and the anniversary of "9/11"...that the authorities may have closed the spotting terraces down for a while ? I hope this is not the case.

Hi Derek,

There are no special announcements or notifications to be found on Schiphol's website concerning the "9/11" anniversary. Airport security measures are still stringent and should not affect the terrace accessibility. Opening hours are from 07.00 hours until 20.00 hours.
