Especially for foreign spotters who come to visit AMS:
Please stay in the viewing locations where you are allowed to be.
2 months ago some Germans blatantly positioned themselves in front of the 06-24 spottersplaats, past the shoulder height fence, blocking other peoples view, pissing off quite some people.
Today, I saw 2 Frenchmen near the 18L line-up on the other side of a big (closed!) fence (where Schiphol dumps it's left over construction material). Security was talking to them, not sure if they got fined. I don't know how they got in there, but it's quite obvious that that place is not public property.
This kind of behaviour damages the reputation of spotters around Schiphol. I'm not saying that Dutch people are all saints and don't these kind of things (it'll definitely get discussed when seen), but would be good if frequent visitors from our surrounding countries could also chip in to prevent this kind of behaviour.
So please also spread the word about "spotting etiquette" among your fellow spotters who are not from Holland.
Thank you.
