American Motorcylce Museum: aircraft collection

Post by PDZ »

Good afternoon,

In Bob Ogden's book Aviation Museums and Collections of mainland Europe you can find an entry about the American Motocycle Museum in Raalte, Overijssel. Three aircraft are mentioned, but when I visited this museum no aircraft were present. I was told that the aircraft hadn't moved with the collection to Raalte. I would like to know where the aircraft went. So, has anybody information about the following aircraft:
SP-FAX, Antonov An-2T
SP-TSC, Mil Mi-2R
D-EADK, P.149D
I was told that the Antonov was still somewhere in Zwolle, the Mil should have gone to Nieuwegein and the Piaggio was used in fire practice.

Thanks very much in advance.

Hi Peter,

i visited the new location as well some time ago, and asked for the aircraft. I was told that parts of the An-2 are used in a hotel (!) somewhere in Zwolle, owned by the daughter of the museum owner or something like that. The P.149 is supposed to be stored at the attick of the museum owners house. I tried to contact him personally to find out where and see if i could have a look, but he never responded....Don't remember about the Mi-2 as this was only civil.
That's all I know. if you find out more details I would be very interested as well!
Cheers,

Hello

De An.2 is still in a Hotel in the town off Zwolle. The problem is that the Hotel can't open because some licence problem's. Only some parts of the An.2 are there. The Piagio is lying at the atic. The Mi.2 is stil in the Netherlands preserved, somewhere in Gelderland. It is property off an American that want put the Chopper on the roof off his Discotheek in the furture. Regulation's will be the problem.
