This is private property and will leave a bad impression of the spotters community when lots of people start parking there ! (see how busy it is in the weekend) This place is for funerals and visitors of the cemetery, please remember that !
I noticed that the 'Kruisweg' north of the Aalsmeerderweg (road leading to the Kaagbaan-spotterssite) was closed for traffic today. Does anybody know have long it will be closed and if the spottersite can be reached from the other side?
No, that road was open all day long, although construction works are ongoing together with reconstruction of the N201. Temporary traffic lights are in service for the moment, delays during your driving might be expected when choosing this routing.

No, there should be a diversion route marked by S; the route on the northside you were not allowed to take bacause of the one-way situation is now allowed in both directions.
Confirmed - went round it today. Given they've gone to the trouble of putting a diversion and alternative access in place, it makes me wonder if the spotters site will be open for a while yet.

Lekker als je bijv uit Breda komt om de OK-TVC (B738 in O2 kleuren) te platen vanaf het terras en dan blijkt dat helemaal niet te kunnen. Als dat zo door gaat ben je er niet eens meer zeker van dat je even op het terras kan gaan kijken als het een beetje waait.
Het terras is vandaag maar even open geweest voor een groep kinderen die uit Rusland kwamen. Toen die de pier op waren werd de deur gesloten en die werd pas weer open gedaan toen ze weer bij de deur terug waren.

Lekker makkelijk om via een forum te oordelen . Wat is nou belangrijker een vliegtuig spotten of de persoonlijke veiligheid van mensen? Helaas vervelend dat mensen van ver weg komen. Ik ben vandaag niet wezen werken, maar kan me voorstellen dat het terras gesloten is geweest. Als er ongelukken gebeuren wordt er weer geroepen waarom het terras niet gesloten was.
Ik heb veel hardere winden meegemaakt op de pier en toen was hij gewoon open. Ik denk omdat een stukje van de pier afgezet is dat ze bang zijn voor ''rondvliegend gesteente''. inderdaad wel jammer voor degene die van ver kwamen.
if you look at the pics from EHAM 1-12 then you can see that the kaagbaanspot was still open... its only accessable via a rerouting (See added image and if that's not clear than you can see a yellow sign with the letter S on it just befor the left turn to Folkstoneweg)
