You're right, same thing goes for the heavy photocase with print on it...

This day it brought me inside a Crusader !! Did you ever manage that ??
Well I once sat in a F-4 on Soesterberg with just t-shirt and jeans on (no not on an open day) does that count  ?

Unfortunately the picture was taken by my grandfather and also lost by my grandfather so I have no digital prove.

And sorry for the trainspotter insult, you were right...that was stupid of me

I dont remember who the guy was, who gave his uniform to me.

All he took was the 32th emblem and his nametag.

Name of F-16 pilot is Adrie "Tamil" Tanis (315 squadron), flying KLM 737's nowadays.

The Netherlands won 3 days earlier the European Soccer championship final from Russia, after beating Germany in the Semi final with 1-2 in Hamburg.

The picture was taken at the Frankfurt Rhein-Main Open House, fortunately most Germans have a sence of humor

Hi Hans,

I think you're jumping a bit too fast to conclusions here. The gentleman on that site is named Paul van der Klooster, so there's no reason whatsoever to expect this to be 'our' Paul van het Klooster.

Marcel

Correct. I've deleted the posting from Hans before this becomes a story in itself.

And now :ontopic:, the images!

The name of "uitpuil" is Rob Verkerk. He was a Soesterberg spotter living in Utrecht. Nowadays he is still active as a freelance photographer. In fact, he is a nice guy. I know him from my schoolperiod in Utrecht. Last time i saw him was at Volkel this year. And for the comment that he was acting strange with his "tiny" camera : last time i saw him and spoke with him he had a nikon d2x, so the tiny camera has been replaced.....

I am to lazy to look for any of my slides of that era, but I did find a Fuji quicksnap-picture taken at Sperenberg on, I believe, 10 May 1993.

On the right, who else, Hans van de Vlist.

Does anyone have pics from the camping "trip", which happened around `87 - `89

Where about 10 or so peeps went camping in the forrest, next to the hill (don’t ask me why we did that, all I know is I had to friggin drag a tent/sleepingbag/food/beer to Soesterberg on my bike)
