Volareweb ending RTM flights

Post by MTOW »

According this article from luchtvaartnieuws.nl, the Italian lowcost operator Volareweb wil stop flying between Milan-Malpensa and Rotterdam v.v. from the 1st of February.
This as a result of low passenger demand.
It's not a big surprise that they have low passenger demand as they didn't made any promotional actions in the Netherlands.
The article also mentioned that on Wednesday the 16th they will decide on the Maastricht flights.

I was already informed about this (and was already mentioned in the topic of I thought the 14th) , but the most saddest thing is that marketing-branches had planned to advertise this flight from thursday :S

And Maastricht is over as well. This time they say it's because of the taxes...... How are the paxnumbers at Maastricht on the Volare flights?

It's easy to keep the 'ecotax' as main reason to stop flights to maastricht as well.
Loads are also at MST pretty sad with an average of 30/40 pax per flight, also as a result of zero promotion...

I think, MST and RTM doing better with a well known loco carrier such as easyJet, Transavia or Ryanair

Volareweb need to sort their marketing out. I'm told there were never any adverts worth speaking of around Manchester, and I didn't see anything around Rotterdam (though I don't get a newspaper). How they think they will sell seats if no one knows about their flights is beyond me!!

Cheers,
Richard

Finally a VolareWeb advertisment

Post by Humphrey Redskin »

Hi,

Yesterday night I took the Rotterdam-Centrum/Schiebroek exit on the A20 and saw on on the rotating billboards based alongside the "Schieplein" an advertisment for the VolareWeb flights to Milano.

Nice timing.

I also noticed a large billboard next to the A20 alongside Kleinpolderplein.
