DUS 17Jan, NetJets Rulez and new airberlin...

Post by Polecat »

When I saw the first airberlin (no capitals and as one word says the new style-book...) aircraft in the new colourscheme, combined with a lull at work and a reasonable weather forecast I decided to take a day off and hit the Autobahn.....

Weatherwise a bit of a weird day with changing conditions all the time, but still a god bit of sun, albeit not always at the right time...

Targets for today were the D-ALTG, the Afriquiah, and the Cypriot Boeing, and ofcourse A-330 D-ALPF which I will probably never ever get....

The day started with some Danish Dynamite, and than a Swedish Willie Wortel.....
Image
A bit white, but still a Transwede Bae146, my first time at DUS... Loads of 146's today anyway..
Image

Two MD's today, had been a while since I last saw them.. Used to get bored by "DC-9's", now you sort of consider them dinosaurs... (yep, gettin'old..)
Image

Not the Retro-bird, got that one last time already...
Image

Speaking of Retro birds; I admit there's no sun, but at least Iberia's beautiful Retro Airbus in the pocket!!

Image

Finally I got these two, unfortunately they landed on the rear runway but still acceptable..
Image

Image

and when the left there was no sun, but again IMHO reasonable pics... I'll get them better somewhere this summer 8)

A very nice surprise was this Hapag Special c/s!! Looks very nice instead of the usual -often faded- blue, just add a bit of sun and I'm a very happy boy!!

Image

Just some nice sunny pics to p#ss off the colleagues at work in rainy Twente :-)
Image
Image

The chosen one.... Alas no sun, but still, picture is bright enough to start the discussion on "top of flop". Personally I think most of the blabla surrounding the restyling is a load ofyouknowwhat, but I think it looks bright and contemporary, if not a bit common...
Image

Again many bizjets, will count and list them in a posting-edit somewhere this weekend...

Cannot recall photographing a Turkish bizzer ever before..
Image

Image

Far away from home, but we sure didn't mind...
Image

Netjets had their local AirTattoo today...(to be honest haven't checked ownership yet, but they sure all look like NetJets to me!)
Image

Image

Always a nice moment, the Emirates 330... Notice a bird with a death-wish near the nose gear... :-)
Image

Baltic not with a Fokker today, a 737 makes a nice change for me....
Image

Saw three polizei helo's today, including this one.. (enough rotor blur guys? :-) )
Image

Finished the day at the Business terminal, this one was about to leave..
Image

The monopod was good enough with f5.3 and 1/15 sec..... My first Cessna 510 Citation Mustang (that's what the internet said at least...) Not ashamed to admit I didn't know this type...

That is quite a nice set of bizjets. So I should go there during the week....

I must say the silver shade around the red colors make all the difference to me. It just really finishes it. And the old colors were becoming a bit boring and old fashioned anyway!

yep, funny enough the colour of the lines around the escape doors also make a huge difference.. I was comparing the schemes and felt the same about the silvergrey....

the first in Europe?
I found the D-IEGO, the OY-LPU (november) and the OE-FIO (december)....
Still, a very nice aircraft I must say, and TXI is definitely the first Dutch one, and one of the first in Europe :-)
Dussy really sees quite a bit of bizz-jet traffic, although many aircraft are ''regulars''...

@NustrR: liked your hangar pic and the Transavia 737 in your PH-TXI posting btw...

I guess you're right. D-ALTF is not an A330, but an A320

okay okay.. mea culpa.....
My defence would be that I got up at 6 and spent a long day in the cold!
Very sharp!!
Ofcourse I meant D-ALPF, and I just heard it's used a lot on the BKK route which means it's seldom "spottable" during daylight...
