It should be. Last year I took the shuttle bus from/to the train station & it took about 15-20 the way there and back. The downtown was closed down from traffic (as were the routes heading to the AB from the city) so one could travell fast.
Hi Tomcat_hun,

Okey the Brits are up for it, checked Ryanair from East Midlands which
is go and just to sort out Hotel. Question for you, Which train station
are you talking about with regard to the shuttle-bus ? Budapast or a
local train station ?.

Regards, WireFox.
I'm sure Tomcat will respond shortly, but he's talking about the train station in Kecskemét town. Its possible to take the train from Budapest - you can check the timetable at http://www.elvira.hu/elvira.dll?language=2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The hotels in Kecskemét are almost full - I had difficulty getting booked. If you are only planning one day at the show and dont have a hire car, it might be easier to stay in Budapest and get an early morning train (booking required but quite cheap).
Hi PIK flyer,

Thank you for the info with regard to the trains and about the hotels being
booked up.

Glad I am with an outfit where they are prepared to help fellow air-minded
people.

Many thanks for all your help.

Regards, WireFox.

Hi Wirefox,

it takes about an hour and half from Budapest to Kecskemét by train. The website is http://www.elvira.hu/. The train is a sort of strange one: half of it is a regular fast train and the other half of it runs with IC-coaches. In regular fast train coaches you may buy your ticket in advance or before departure at Western Railway station (Nyugati pu.) [no seat reservation required]. For the IC-coaches seat reservation is required , tickets and reservations can be bought before departure at the railway station (I'd rather you make the reservation a few days before in this case). Hungarian Passenger Railway Co. information hotline: +36-1-371-94-49

Your questions are always welcome!

when looking at their website, they show a Singaporean AF F-16 driving in front of the crowd. Guess that I can pretty sure say: this one is not comming.

The number of confirmed USAF aircraft has been reduced to only 3 types. Guess SP A-10 and LN F-15 and a C-17 from Ramstein TDY.

better check the website before saying something. For the US only planned are the A-10, F-15 and the C-17. The rest was taken of a long time ago.

There won't be an European tour of any of the demo teams of the USAF, exept the F-22 visiting the UK.
