New version Lightroom available (1.4)

Hi,

Adobe has issued a new version of Lightroom:

Hi Arnold,

You directed people to the Mac download (yeach !) instead of the Windows version. This is the link most people will need:

Nevertheless: Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

According to the webiste version 1.4 does not ad anyy additional functionalyty, but only extra support for the new camera's. So I'll stick to my working version until it's clear that I have something to gain from updating from 1.3 to 1.4.

Did you find any usefull updates yet ?

Whether it's useful is up to you to decide, but according to Lightroom Forum, LR1.4 includes the following (small) updates:
Color noise is now active in Grayscale mode allowing better noise reduction in B&W. Also a new Camera RAW 4.4 profile is available in Camera Calibration, for images with poor response in the extreme ranges of temperature and tint.

Sorry about the MAC link, did not see that (BTW: there wouldn't be LR if it wasn't for Apple Aperture I think!).

So far no new features for me that are worth installing. But good to see they are still developing. Rumours are that a 2.0 version will be announced very soon now.

Does any 1 here know how i can stop auto start of lightroom when i plug-in a memory card or usb stick with photo's on it?? Try to find it in options of lightroom but can't find it.

Just do right mouseclick on the icon Adobe Photo Downloader en click on Disable.
You can find the Adobe Photo Downloader in your taskbar, in the low right corner of your desktop.
