I'm sure the sounds are put in the film later because I recognize some sounds as I recorded them.

The (5) F-104's were recorded at Valkenburg during their farewell flight in 1984.
The Neptune sound was taken from my home which was downwind for runway 24.

But it's a very nice film and the sounds are good fitted in, although the sound of a landing Friendship is different then a taxiing one

Whow ... very nice to see and hear ... especially the sound of the Neptune.

Seems to be very relaxed these days .... in 1974 :-)

Cheers,

I was also there. Can remember a German G-91, a French AF CAP-10 and CAP-20 (rare bird, only six built). The Beaver formation was a farewell flight, they were phased out later that year. The sounds are indeed later added. The Grasshopper- Alouettes with Gazelle sounds, and a Wasp wich sounds like a Bo-105......
After all, a great movie...those were the days !
