NAS Lemoore base visit, 11th February 2008

Post by IrishAirPics »

Hi Guys,

I'm a little bit late posting these pics but better late than never I suppose.

Spent a day at NAS Lemoore (big thank you to Dennis McGrath) on February 11th, ramp tour followed by some time at the LSO platform for landings and beside the other runway for take offs.

10 aircraft were supposed to land, 2 arrived then nothing for over an hour, packed up and went for lunch, spotted the rest of the aircraft taxying in while having a Subway! We had slim pickings for the take off's too, only 4 aircraft forecast but 6 departed in the end.

Below you will find some of our pictures from the day, in no particular order by the way. More pictures available here:

Some video is available on the above page too. Apologies in advance if some pictures have dodgy contrast, CRT monitor is getting tired, actively looking for an LCD replacement, recommendations gladly accepted.

Regards & thanks for looking,

Frank.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, it's much appreciated.

sfeyenoord1....

Pictures by Frank were taken using a Canon EOS-30D and either a Canon 70-200mm or Canon 300mm fixed lens, with and without 1.4x converters.

Pictures by Sonya were taken using a Canon EOS-20D and a Sigma 170-500mm lens.

Regards,

Frank.
