As promised this afternoon in the Mildenhall subject, here the pics made on RAF Lakenheath last week.

Homebased 48th FW F-15's:

F-15E taking off rwy 06, banking right overhead to avoid the village of Brandon.

On Wednesday winddirection changed and rwy 24 was in use. Here 'Reheat' from the 492nd FS taxies out towards the runway.

'Sniper' from the 494thFS cleared for the option rwy 24.

Taco 21, an F-15C from the 'Grim Reapers', making a low approach rwy 24 at the Heath in some typical British weather.

Rambo flight cleared for take off. Late in the afternoon (after 5 p.m.)pics like these can be made from the Western site of rwy 24, when the sun is in you back.

Friday morning the 493rd FS 'Albinos' flew short missions followed by hot pit refueling.

On Thursday afternoon suddenly 8 Vipers from the Aviano based 33rd FW showed up. 4 from the 510th, followed by 4 from the 555th FS!

By number 12 are those star's Kills?

Hi Adam,

That's correct, acft nbr. 84-0027 scored two kills during Desert Storm (on 27-01-1991) when it shot down a Mirage F.1 and a MiG-23!
