Haven't seen any report, but at least 12 different Italian Tornados have been visiting Spangdahlem. 10 are still here, and will depart Friday.

Oscar,

(again) a strange reaction from you :cry: :cry: as you already replied on a serial report on flugzeugforum that there were 10 instead of 9 aircraft (Reaction Oscar01 at FF: ALLE?!?! Letzte Freitag sind 10 gesehen, so da fehlt noch eine..... )

But for all the people, this is what is mentioned on flugzeugforum.de (with thanks and credits to ICE and ASA :

13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7019 ITAF 50-05
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7025 ITAF 6-05
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7026 ITAF 6-35
05.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7027 ITAF special c/s
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7035 ITAF 6-27
05.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7038 ITAF 6-37
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7043 ITAF 6-25
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7054 ITAF 50-40 special c/s
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7070 ITAF 50-06
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7080 ITAF 6-33 special c/s
13.05.08 Spangdahlem Tornado MM7082 ITAF 50-54
Furthermore codes 6-01 and 50-47 were seen the last two weeks. So at least 13 aircraft went to ETAD

there is some more interesting information concerning Spang' in Flugzeugforum ...

However, thanks to help of some friendly spotters, I can contribute the following log from this afternoon after my early work-shift (serial/code-tie-ups from other logs, the four Ghedi Tornados need confirmation from digital photos ...) - as always, only flying aircraft were recorded:

Hi,

Some went back to Italy (and back again to Spang) during this periode. In total now 12(!) Tornados have been seen at Spang.

Got those serials AFTER I posted the message at FF, so don't see what's strange on that. Don't read all my messages back, if they could be updated or so.

But, thanks for copiing the information, that's something you're very good in..... (but at least this time you mention credits....).

In awaiting the 81st EFS back home at Spang, let me post the following update:

Meanwhile, 81-0952 is also identified by USAF photos as deployed to Bagram AB, Afghanistan. According to my PC software, both shots were already taken on May 2, 2008. They were released some days later at Spang´s public website:

http://www.spangdahlem.af.mil/shared/me ... 8M-002.JPG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.spangdahlem.af.mil/shared/me ... 8M-003.JPG" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And so, identified by official USAF shots are the following six deployed Spang "Hogs": 80-0281 (marked 81 FS), 81-0952, 81-0963, 81-0976, 81-0983 and 81-0992.

For more background info you can read the Stars and Stripes news article "A-10 pilots keeping it safe in Afghanistan" (published online on May 16, 2008, including a video and ten small-sized pictures): http://www.stripes.com/article.asp?sect ... icle=54832" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just to help you a little bit more: the C-5's were all parked together, noses to the runway. Just a little bit further to the left of them the C-17 was parked, also nose to the runway.

Thank you, Maurits! You are right with 82-0649. In the video I saw this aircraft, but I forgott selecting full screen modus to really check the "last three digits".
