What? new rule? All of the klu open days till this year had fighter jet displays in the morning. Really stupid that rule, its only 2 days a whole year....edehtx wrote:Hi, are you all really serious to think, that we did not contact the Vulcan guys? We know them for many years. We keep all options open and we are talking with all possible airshow acts. You're right, the Vulcan is only performing in the UK this year, but we keep on trying for next year. Main problem are the costs. By the way, we have been trying to get B1's, B2,s etc via all lobby circuits, but you cannot win them all. We are pretty happy with the Leeuwarden static display so far and because of the special noise rules in the morning hours, we are not able to schedule more jet acts. Bottom line is to offer the main public a nice show with all aspects of (military) aviation. Enjoy!
That rule was at this MB for a long time already.AggressorVolkel wrote:What? new rule? All of the klu open days till this year had fighter jet displays in the morning. If I am correct these noise rules are in place this year because of some festivities/ceremonies in the morning not that far from Leeuwarden Air Base. This would mean that next year Volkel will not have these constraints...AggressorVolkel wrote:What? new rule? All of the klu open days till this year had fighter jet displays in the morning.
