Norvenich Photocall 27-6-2008

Post by Flanker27 »

Today I went to Nörvenich to see the special c/s of Boelcke's 50th Anniversary. In the morning the special Tonka flew a couple of approaches with the wings in different positions, wheels in or out (it had to land eventually  ). At exactly one I was on base to make some nice shots, if it weren't for new clouds coming in. It got better later, but then we were off already to Geilenkirchen. Enjoy these first ones, comments are welcome and more on request of course!

1. First a nice pass with swept wings.

2. Dirty approach

3. On base: Boelcke's Blue Lightning
Image
4. 2 more Tornados were setup, too bad they were celebrating because all kind of stuff was hanging on them.
Image
5. Right side!
Image
6. They arranged some steps to shoot this sonderlackierung.
Image
7. From another angle (and stairs).
Image
8. Closeup of Herr Boelcke
Image
9. From the rear
Image
10. Other side (backlight).
Image
11. Someone wanted to shoot swept wings at Leeuwarden?
Image
12. Still celebrating.
Image
13. Who chased the cat in here?
Image
14. It wasn't the USAF because they landed at ETNG.
Image
15. Oh it was a crouching tiger....
