Polleke,

The keyword for good looking pics in dark weather is RAW 8) With the
function fill light in lightroom you can win a lot of quality in your pic.

My camera is an EOS30D with a 100-400L IS USM lens, sow nothing
special if you see all those drain pipes next to the runway. The settings i
use is also a simple question, just look above each of my pics and you
see all the info per pic

I hope this is enough info for your question, if you want to know more
just give me a reaction :?:

@ Redskin; Thanks for the info so far !

Well, I run around with a Nikon D200 with a Sigma 50-500 DG-APO but in order to avoid moved exposures I need to use at least 400ISO with clear weather. I however don't use any advanced setting and still use the "P" presettings, so I guess that's where the trick is?
Do you use fixed shutterspeed, or aparture?

So far I only used either Shutter or Aperture, but not sure if this can be selected as priority ? Still, looking at your pics and their comments, shutterspeed nor aperture are constant on either jets or props/heli's?

This discussion however becomes more a topic for "het Praethuis" so perhaps it's better if you can reply by PM and get :ontopic: for here ?

Thanks so far anyway, guess I need to do some (a lot!) more experimenting
