(notes: the long journey enroute to friends livinging in the French ‘Jura‘ region was used for a two hours stay at the military airbase Dijon. After some difficulties in finding an accepatable and safe spotters place I could enjoy the sound of Mirage 2000 engines running up and indeed ... no less than six of these great airplanes taxied out for a late-afternoon mission. Both their departures and recoveries could be well enjoyed, while two based Alpha Jets allowed hardly for identification due to their short landing run. A visiting AS.350 completed this small but quite interesting log)

I was the 29th/07 at Dijon, and I can confirm the Alpha jet 2-FL as E92

2-FJ should be E33 according to my information (last noted in July 08 ).

Are you sure about codes 7-FP and 7-FM? They should have changed to 2-F codes when they moved from St Dizier to Dijon..

Thanks for the help, no I am not sure about 7-?, I could hardly read -FP and -FM as they were so fast and presumed they were from St. Dizier as they did not take off or land at Dijon. I correct my log above accordingly.

Are you sure the AS350 2057 was a visitor?
In 2005 I saw this one also on base in the Gendarmerie hangar. So I think he's still based there?

well in this case I am 100% sure of the identity according to the code of the helicopter, but I have no idea of the Gendarmerie "order of battle" and so far did not even know that there is a gendarmerie hangar on Dijon airbase. Thanks for info anyway, seems I still have to learn a lot about French military bases
