Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).
Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Question one: What is this?
Question two: What kind of airplane?
Funny that most of you thought that it would be a sonar buoy or liferaft canister. It is actually a latrine (toilet). Left one male, right one female (or male with bigger need ). So if you can ever enjoy a KC-135 flight and are in a hurry, watch out that you don't pee over the batteries next to the male latrine otherwise you're
They actually don't have latrines in a KC-135?? Wow, I would think that would not be something that would be compromised on. Not that it needs to be luxurious but this is almost ridiculous
Really if you consider the fact that there are batteries right next to it and the sign actually says Danger High Voltage... That's the stupidest place I could ever think of to put a toilet on a plane

It's really true, this is the place where they pee. Made the picture of it during a tankerflight last year. But it is not that strang to have a small latrine in a cargo/tanker aircraft. Mission can enlong up to 10 hours with at least three people, most of the times extra personell is added. Will otherwise be a smelly envirnment to work in
