hidden places fmr East Germany

Post by Flanker27 »

Through zoom I got to this site:http://www.f-a-p.nl/sites/index2.htm
Can anybody tell me more about these old sovjet bases ("hidden"places) in Germany to visit and do photoshoots?

I was at Damgarten two yeas ago. Free entry onto this former base and some ex DDR MiGs preserved in the old hangars. Great place to visit and race across the runway where Russian AF Fulcrums (and what not...) once used to roar or study the inside of a Russian shelter. In some places you can still find evidence of the Russian presence here (signs etc).

Last may we went to Sperenberg (the Russian version of Ramstein), south of Berlin. This place is fenced of - it's a nature reserve nowadays - but that didn't stop us, as a fence with a hole in it is not a fence. Very impressive to walk around here and see the many deserted buildings once used to house Russian personel. Very eery place also, as it is HUGE and there s not a living soul to be seen. But beware, entrance is forbidden so the risk is yours.
Answers will be questioned.....

Try this German-language website as well!
http://www.lostplaces.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; .
Probably THE European website for these kind of abandoned places...
