I'm thinking of going to spang on Wednesday but I want to know if it's worth while, so hopefully someone can post the numbers.

i always tought the number on the tail is the same as in the code under the cockpit?

not really, in some occasions tailcode might be the same as the last 2 digits of the nose code, but that seems coincidental as most aircraft have quite a different code on the tail. Not sure what the purpose of this tailnumber is though....

The two digits in tail have two different purpose, it depends on the Wing.
For the 51° FW the two digits usally are the last digit of the mm
For the 32° FW the two digits usally are the same of those under the cockpit.

This is just a guideline, expecially nowadays with the Acol upgrade underway, it isn't always respected.

The cockpit digits are almost unnecessary, the only useful info is the Wing, and it's not a reliable info, just becouse may be not unique and could change during the re-painting.

Hi all,

Maybe i will go to Spangdahlem next week. Can some body tell me the best spotterplace over there this is my first time over there so i dont no any place.

Maybe some body have a picture of the place and the route to the spottersplaces.

begun at the third air base in the central Turkish province of Konya.

The United States joins the exercise with 16 F-16 jets, Italy with 3
Eurofighters, Israel with 5 F-16 and 5 F-15 jets and NATO with 2 Awacs.

The exercise will end on September 16th.
