Maybe because the weather was expected to improve at the end of the day? Even the big yellow bird came out then for a while. And yes, they announced there was a back-up plan. It actually was what was happening.Mad Viper wrote:Ok, can imagine that, but why so late on the activities, and why then shortly aftereach other, why not spread it out a bit. If there is nothing to do, why wait with the engine runs. If there is a gap in your program isn't there such as an back up plan.
Which more actions? I was there at saturday (in July, to be clear) but the number of aircraft flying connected with the event was 0. Now we at least got to see some action.Mad Viper wrote:The Oldtimer Fly-inn was also a Fly-inn, just like you describe but with far more actions, will exclude the car part of that day.
Maybe because they needed that apron, because the SKHV was expected. They had to put it somewhere. And the Tracker was to run its engines. Would not be very comfortable for the people walking behind it (at the grass between the canal and the main building), if this was done at that spot you want it.Mad Viper wrote:For most of the day the halve of the platform was empty, it was until the SKHV showed up they filled it. But not until they first stock pilled behind the fence. There was a single S-11 put on display next to the T2, also the Tracker. Why not put those on the platform in front of the schipholbuilding or the orange DC-3 there. And the Fouga was also a option to place there such as saturday. So that you have a nicely filled platform, to me more appealing then a empty one.
Always the weather . Great back-up plan then with some great information that was shared. Hmm I can recall a very nice Dakota that day, were was it yesterday, that was flying, a Bücker Jungmann came in flying. Need any proof of that? The Mustang arrived in the morning and was placed on the gras opposite of the T2, and went there with its own power. Other action were a Rotation engine and 2 Fokkers that were ignited for us to watch. And this al happened in the middle of the day when there was a crowd.Which more actions? The Tracker was a suggestion from my side. Among other planes.Maybe because they needed that apron, because the SKHV was expected. They had to put it somewhere. Seems you are missing a few points.Raymond wrote:It was a very boring airshow
I pay about 15 euros for almost nothing
Key wrote: What has changed since previous events, that did see Scandinavian DC-3s, the Li-2, the DC-6? Aviodrome and DDA are merging, and DDA used to be the 'great absent one' on Aviodrome events. Perhaps there is a clue in that?

I was on the saturday at the Aviodrome and heard from lot of people that the found in boring . I had a very good day at the aviodrome , the wetter was good and a few people found that the airshow of Duxford much better than the this fly-in . I said to this guy you can't look at duxford and this fly-in als a same show because in duxford they organise this shows for many times and the aviodrome still a few times .Raymond wrote:It was a very boring airshow

Last year there were nice dakota"s but none this year
Please don"t call this the DAKOTA FLY INN
Greetings Raymond
When they cancelled the helicopter fly-in in May (due to the number of fly-ins getting too high to organise), they promised to do it next year, so expect a helicopter Fly-in in 2009. As the Oldtimer drive and Fly-in is an anual event, that might be number two in 2009. A third might be too much again, if they stick to their own statement.uiver wrote:I hope they will try to organise next year another fly in and hope that al the planes will come . And if we wanted to see more planes than we have to pay more for it but a lot of the spotters will stay than outside the museum to get ther pictures . I saw saturday some car standing when i arrive and when i leave they still standing there and don't get away from there the whole day .
i can only say next time better .
I really hope there'll be more visitors than just Lelykopters, Helicon and Heli Holland, but I doubt it .aviodromefriend wrote:When they cancelled the helicopter fly-in in May (due to the number of fly-ins getting too high to organise), they promised to do it next year, so expect a helicopter Fly-in in 2009.
I guess they'd invite some Chinook, Cougar, Apache, Lynx or AB412 for that kind of event. And maybe some helo's from EHKD. Probably also the police Bo105. Would also be nice to see some civil helicopters like Dauphins or Puma's.EHAM wrote:I really hope there'll be more visitors than just Lelykopters, Helicon and Heli Holland, but I doubt it .
