Last monday saw some great weather, so for the first time since may I went to Dusseldorf. Bad thing is I missed a lot over the summer, good thing is that there are many new things to be seen..
Sorry if there's a lot of 'old news', but for me the day brought many new aircraft (both type and regs) as well as some new airlines.
Conditions at Düsseldorf are still a bit tricky, the taxiway is still under construction disturbing many shots, and the right runway (wrong for pics
was also used a lot. Due to the fact that is was quite busy there would sometimes be a queue of aircraft waiting between the spottersterrace and the runway, creating heatwaves with their exhausts..
1. Always loads of Turkish planes at Dus, Turkish sent a 737, an A-330 and an A-340 ... Unfortunately the two last ones landed on the further runway..
2.Dusseldorf has brought me many retro's, this one was still missing, so quite glad I got it!
3. Usually I get to see SAAB's on the Carpatair DUS-route, this Fokker was new to me.
4.Not sure, but I think this one was instead of the more common BAe-146..
5. Quite an interesting final stage of the landing for this DHC-8, touchdown was still quite soft though..
6. The AirBerlin titles are removed, this could well be the last years of Fokker 100 ops for the airline..
7.Still flying (and losing money I assume...) Alitalia used a bigger Embraer than the Emb-145 I usually saw..
8.Always get a few bizjets at DUS, when I saw a Premier approach I thought it was one of the based ones (D-IATT, D-IAGG) , however it turned out to be this Italian.
9. Didn't know this airline, never saw it at Dus before but could also have been a charter or so...?
10. Since this summerArmavia has a scheduled service to/from Dusseldorf. Like the colours..
11. Every spotter already has this Pegasus bird, now I finally have it too...
12. No, nothing went wrong in photoshop, this Cirrus Aviation Embraer Legacy really looks green like this!
13. A clear illustration of what the taxiway looks like now, hopefully within a couple of weeks/months things will be back to normal...
14. American Ce680 that came, went and came again... Owned by the Cessna Corp, this coupled with the Gulf (see later) makes one wonder weather there was/were client(s) having testflights....
15. Assaid above, the Turks sent an A-340, nice to see another Star Alliance.. (why not paint all a/c in thesecolours, there seem to be loads of them by now..)
16. Shortly before sunset this Gulfstream G-IV ofthe Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation arrived.
17. ...just another angle on the departing A-340 during pushbak..
18. A Lufthansa A-300 at the gate, the first ones have already been scrapped i was told..
19. As the terrace was open till 21.00 I decided to stay and try some nightshots (and to avoid over an hour of trafficjam like I had on the way to Dus..)
20. This weekend the winter openinghours for the terraces will start, meaning it will take a few more weeks before nightshots can be made again.
21. I had hoped to see a Tu-154, this one alledgedly was broken down, it left tuesday 21st.
I have never drunk milk, and I never will . . . .
