Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Today I went to Leeuwarden to spot some F-16's...... but during the landing of the first 3 fighters I was still driving so I couldn't took pictures... The G-273 was performing some touch and go's...... Furthermore there was around 15.30LT a fullstop and a t&g of 2 F-16's... not very busy but it was a nice day.....

Hello ssb-spotting :)
Looks like you had a nice day, but i do see some things that could inprove in the shots you post (in my opinion).

About 1/3rd of the shots are very unsharp, Also there is allot of CA and vignettering in your pictures wich you easily can remove with photoshop or any other program.

Nontheless nice shots :) As long as you are happy with them! ;)

Oh yes you're right sfeyenoord1! A big problem was backlight. The sun makes it a beautiful day, but for photographing it is a disaster ;) I hope to get soon a photo edit program like Photoshop..... then I can improve my picutres. The most free or cheap programs are not so good like Photoshop....

Please keep in mind that a good picture is made at the moment you take the picture. Software is only there for the finishing touch.

Prevent backlighting by simply getting to the right spot.. If you had walked a bit towards the other side of the approach (along the Leeuwarden/Stiens road) and found a spot at the edge of the road, your pics would have been better.. See also Spot 1 @ http://www.scramble.nl/airports/publish/ehlw.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Vignetting and CA can be removed with PS, but saving some money to buy better equipment is a better choice!

I like the last pic with the landing F-16.

I see in the Exif data you photographed with a FinePix S8000fd. I guess that's the reason why some pictures are not sharp.
It's sometimes not so easy to made good photos with a SLR camera so if you make thése pictures with your type of camera I can only say: Good job!

The main point is that you enjoy the hobby. :picture:
