I am going on vacation to Germany, So I looked for militairy airfields around.
Then I found Buchel.

I hope someone has pictures or experience with the airfield, and maybe it will help me

Hi,

If Buchel is close , than Spangdahlem is also close. Here you can see 7 days a week USAF transport movents and on weekdays offcourse the local F-16/A-10s from SP!

I had seen Spangdahlem too bud I heard they dont like spotters, and someone has bad ecperience with the airfield.

I will take al look at Spangdahlem but I like Buchel more so I hope someone has pictures

I wil be there from 2-9 August

at Büchel they are very nervous( is my experiance) about making pictures, spotting is ok

Spangdahlem is great to whatch, pictures i don't know but i think it also thight security there.

I will take a look at both airfields, but there is no chance to get on the base with contact I have looked for email from buchel but I can not find any Spangdahlemmaybe ?

Years Ago when Bitburg get closed we my take a look on the balcony and take pictures from US F-16`s and F-15`s , is that time over ? (for Buchel or Spangdahlem )

Today(03 November) the following callsigns were heard departing Büchel for Decimonmannu,

So at least 15 Tornados have departed,meaning the based flying here will be near non-existant for the coming weeks.

Years Ago when Bitburg get closed we my take a look on the balcony and take pictures from US F-16`s and F-15`s , is that time over ? (for Buchel or Spangdahlem )

That was because the 52 FW was TDY at Bitburg and the control tower was not military property anymore but a restaurant. They operated from the adjecent flightline..
There is no such thing at either Buchel or Spang. If only it was
