Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Follow the plane as long as possible, and (after a while) hit the shutter at the right moment. I noticed at my panning-attempts that it's very hard to make this kinds of pictures from planes that are too far away: try to catch them when they blast just past your lens. That works best (for me, that is).

Thanks for the replies. What shutter speeds do you use in general?

Are you standing on runway A4's "vluchtstrook" (emergency-lane) Did you parked your car there? Or did you parked your car in the road to "lijnden" that goes under the A4 runway and walked to the right/ are you climbing up the hill of the A4? Ive been there a few times to see how I can take pics op a higher place, whitout getting trouble with the KMAR or police? How many mm's did you use (not how many you have, I already know) to get a photo like no 9?

It's the A9, you park the car on the small road which goes under the highway. Don't walk to high on the hill, you can scare the car-drivers and than the police will send you away.
The big mm-question; well it's a prime 500mm

My spot is the first bridge from the taxiway. My gear is a Nikon D80 with a 18-200VR lens. The time is rather bad because all the light comes from the wrong side. But just before the sun really starts shining you can take some nice pics...or wait till the afternoon

The united had worse light than this one
