I did some research about the stored 727´s. Also see http://www.aire.org/rnac/preserved_eng.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;I read somewhere that 2 727's have been/are currently stored at MAD being the EC-CFE and CID
Actually there are 4 B727´s stored at this airport.
This is what i reported may 23/24 at MAD this year :
1 x B727 faded Iberia c/s , seen from the well known spot in T2 next to the restaurants.
According Google Earth, 40°27'35.45"N 3°32'37.29"W this turns out to be EC-CID (20974/1077).
1 x B727 ex. Swiftair EC-IMY (Delta AL c/s) , together with 3 G1´s. This one is in close proximity with EC-CID. (location : 40°27'47.10"N 3°32'46.09"W)
1 x B727 YL-24A, ex EC-CFI (location 40°27'23.86"N 3°34'24.13"W) standing on the cargo platform.
1 x B727 white c/s standing in mid-field must be EC-CFE then.
(location : 40°28'28.71"N 3°33'15.33"W)
Any additions / corrections to the above are very welcome.
Greetings,
Arnoud
