Preserved:
Alouette 2 D-HBJF ex Bundespolizei ex 77+35
Stored:
Alouette 2 D-HAGI ex Bundespolizei
Alouette 2 D-HBJG ex Bundespolizei ex 77+57
Alouette 2 D-HBJN ex Bundespolizei ex 77+53
Alouette 2 D-HBJP ex Bundespolizei ex 77+55
Alouette 2 D-HBJW ex Bundespolizei ex 77+50
Alouette 2 D-HBJZ ex Bundespolizei ex 77+31
These where the ones left. We just missed four other former Bundespolizei Alouette 2s by one day. All then choppers haven been sold to a Hungarian concrete workers company. While we where here there where busy loading them on to Hungarian trucks. They went in pairs, so two Alouettes loaded on one trailer. All well covered, so not visible during transport.
Operational:
AS-332L1 D-HEGS Bundespolizei staffel Nord
EC-135T2+ D-HZSG BMI
The based Bundespolizei/BMI unit has shrunk over the past years, since the BGS became Bundespolizei actualy. Older types have been withdrawn.
According to the crew they only have one other Bundespolizei chopper assigned to the unit at that moment. Unfortunately that one left already before we came, and was not assumed to be back within 2 or 3 hours. So we did not wait for it.
The BMI has a total of four EC135s assigned, one was away for heavy maintenance in Bonn Hangelar. Other two are currently deployed to Christophe helipads, at large hospitals in the region. Believe Hannover is one of the locations, forgot to note down the other.
