737 with winglets

Yes, off course I know there are more of them... But in comparison with 737NG there are not so many old 737's with winglets.......
Most of the old 737 (-300, -400) are flying without winglets

And you won't see any -400 with winglets, as they haven't been certified for the variant. Only the -300 and -500 can be fitted of the original series.

The winglet-kits for the 737-300 are available since 2007(?), the NG winglets since 2000.
A significant part of the fleet of 1115 737-300's has already been scrapped. There are 2700+ 737-700/800/900's flying...
Contrary to NG 737's the wings of the 737-300 were never designed 'winglet ready'; as a result installation costs more.

So frankly I'm surprised by the high number of aircraft that has already been converted. Should the oil prices have another surge, there will surely be more. With current low prices, I think there will not be a whole lot of extra conversions though...

Wellicht heb je wat aan deze lijst ?.

Dit lijstje heb zojuist ik zelf even gefabriceerd
