Yesterday I had been asked if I could do some shots of the Copenhagen Airport X-mas tree that is erected every year between the active runways. This year is a little different as the star of tree is not a star but a 1/72 scale Lockheed Constellation.
The model is going into production sometime next year and is fitted with solar cell on the upper side of the wings which runs the lights in the cabin and the position lights on the wingtips etc.
Here´s the piccies:
It may look a little small, but several pilots including dutch KLM pilots have already commented on it on the TWR-frequencies. A web-page for it is being set up. http://www.windliner.dk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The nice marshaller that took us out to the X-mass tree also took us to see the stored Sterling aircraft on a disused runway:
A Kestrel was using OY-SEC´s windscreen wiper as dinner table as it had just caught some grey furry thing:
I hope U liked them, even if there weren´t a lot of aircraft this time.
