30 Years Belgian F-16

According to the Luchtcomponent (www.mil.be) on 3 July an airshow will be organized for te ecelebration of 30 years F-16 with the Belgians.

Much to our supprise (not) the Luchtcomponent at www.mil.be changed the 30 years celebration date to 4-5 July so it now is part of the Koksijde airshow.

I once heard Koksijde couldn't handle F-16s anymore? (runway was shortened, if I recall right?)

Can't say I'm surprised, I was surprised they didn't do it in the first place for logistical reasons. And let's not forget the 2 spottersdays already organized at Belgian airbases this year.

@Aviodromfriend: the runway is still the same length, however, runway maintenance is another thing. A few years ago they couldn't handle F-16s for the airshow due to the state of the runway, much like cobblestones according to several pilots there. Since then, the surface was renewed.
