In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Visited some friends in London this weekend.

1. 20 minutes after arriving at my friends´ house on friday this beauty flew past. Shot taken from the balcony. Big bonus!

On sundaymorning I went to stand next to the lights of 27L of EGGL.

Heatrow is truly 777 and A330/A340 heaven.

The weather was very lousy, overcast and dark. So the pics aren´t that great. But still, a nice experience and a few hours very well spend......

Felt like I saw thousands of BA 777´s come by.

The SIA A380 tried to sneak away while I wasn´t looking. Unfortunately I only got to see her from very very far....behind a fence.

And there she was.....as if God himself removed the clouds. For a very brief moment the sun came through.........and screwed up my settings since they were still on dark weather :wink: So a bit over exposed but still.....I got what I came for :) .

The end result;
-hundreds and hundreds of BA A319/A320/A321´s (or so it felt)
-tons of BA 772´s and 774´s.
-some nice exotic visitors
-...and 1 (well actually 2) A380´s.

SO despite the lousy weather, a great morning.
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Great stuff.
LHR is truly a wide body heaven with something new almost everytime you visit. Since my visit in July the Air New Zealand (used to 744) and TAM (used to A330) Triples are both new at LHR.

Very great morning you had indeed. I was there last August for 4 days and I enjoyed as much as you did. Getting bored of BA but getting happy from exotic visitors...

In Summer TAM came in one hour with two 330s so that means 77W is upgrade to A330 flights.
Air New Zealand carries not that many passengers in Winter to Auckland & Wellington I believe so one of its 747 flights has been downgraded to T7.

Also next year some exotics will start serving Heathrow. E.g. Oman Air and Arik Air 8) I'll return next Summer 4 sure

the Air New Zealand 777-200 is / was already flying in March 2007. I flew in it for about 24hrs from Auckland to LHR via LA. Then it was already flying for it for a few months. (via Asia it was a 747-400)

Air New Zealand also still operates an 744. Cause when I left it came in for landing. That's the problem with a place like Heathrow, as soon as you leave, you know you're just going to miss another nice plane.

Also missed a Qantas 744, would have liked to catch that one.
