Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Mi-26 at Bruge

Post by Giel »

yesterday I went shopping in Bruge. My brother had been in the harbour of Bruge the day before when he came home with pics from Mi-26 helicopters. I knew that the had been there but not that they were still there. So before we went shopping we went the harbour. I could only take 1 pic because of the fence and looked if I could take some pics on the other site of the place. My father said that there was a narrow piece of land were I could walk on between the fence and another building. So I could go to the back of the place. I found out that there was no fence there! You could just walk between the heli's. I didn't want any trouble so I took few pics and ran back to the front gate...

The following Mi-26s are involved:

RA-06021 (that's the one with the markings). This is also the one that has been stored at Luik-Bierset for many years.
RA-06032
RA-06041

The other two have been at Charleroi for quite some years and joined this one. All three helicopters are due for Rostvertol for possible overhaul, depending on money, serviceability of the aircraft etc.
