Who can stay at home on days like these....
Decided to go to Dusseldorf, and boy, it was cold!!
Last time I was there was late october, so it came as no surprise that there were a lot of new airframes for me.
My first ATR in the new CSA colours leaving early...
Delta leaving with a lot of spray, the first few hubdred meters remained wet, possibly de-icing fluid...
After many years, Mahan is back at EDDL, still using this vintage Airbus.. To me these are still the "Mothers of all Airbuses"..
Obviously it took a while before the yellow light was getting more neutral....One of the many Star Alliance aircraft we see nowadays, but a new one to me!
Loads of 'green stuff' applied on the aircraft, especially in the morning. There were three de-icing spots in use.
Bet the guys at Spl are really envious on a follow-me car like this; a Porsche! Checking the runway will never be the same.....
...and it was really really cold!!
Another 'new' aircaft, Rossia bought this one from Frontier, delivered half a year ago....
Just before giving up his presidency, George came along (piloted by a Georgina by the way....)
Expected highlight was the supposed visit of Ghana AW B-757, unfortunately the flight was performed by this BMI 757.. Still, not an aircraft I see that often...
D-ANNJ, one of a growing Blue Wings fleet. This one was taken over from JetBlue earlier this year....
Air Berlin's newest airbus afaik, delivered only weeks ago...
FlyBe sent one jet and one prop, the latter being this one, taken with as low a shutterspeed as I dared....
Another recent delivery, SAS (partly) replaces the Dash-8's with these CRJ's...
Than the light went out slowly.. Luckily the Emirates Cargo Jumbo was on time...
and it got darker.... Newest A330 with AirBerlin/LTU is D-ALPJ, seen here leaving for a late-take-off.
Twinkle twinkle little star...
Nightly de-icing shot of D-AVRC, A Lufthansa City-line "Willie Wortel"....
Grtz, and stay warm outthere!
