Rome FCO spotting-possibilities

Good afternoon,

i'm intending to spent a weekend in november in Rome to spot at FCO-airport. Anyone with information about the AIRSIDE-possibilities?

Good experience back in August 2006:

Stayed in Terminal 2 (airside but only some time upon arrivel) where there are two areas to view from:

- Grand Panorama Cafe
- Autogrill Cafeteria

Views of one side of Terminal C Satellite, and of the remote stands can be had from these places. Never bothered during our time.

Hopefully for you these 'cafetarias' are still there...

Hi all,

during take-off from Roma-Fiumicino on 27/11/2008, I noted an Emirates B777 and an Aerolineas Argentinas A340. It's probably a long shot but is there anyone who knows which ones they were?

According ACARS Emirates flight EK097/098 must be A6-EMI, no idea about the Aerolineas.
