Nice pics!!
Engine start in the shelter camp resulted in this here strange thingy
This is a result of the very cold surface temperatures at that time. The air above this cold layer is warmer. As a result the moist air or, in this example, the engine exhaust, is trapped and will spread out with this great result.

Hy Mark...

Just joined GRAS, but I'm not that familiar with the locations for photography for Gilze-Rijen.
At what position are you in the "the making of" picture?

I was there the whole day together with Sines
Check the airfield guide points 1 and 6 down here
1 is runway 28 while 6 is the slopes/runway 02

Number 3 = 200mm

Number 6 = 400mm
