After some good experiences with shooting at Oslo Gardermoen and the forecast being terrific (sunny, clear skies, -12C) a last minute call was made to travel out there to visit a friend and do some shooting. While the traffic at OSL is nothing special (mainly SAS and Norwegian 737s) the scenery is great, and winter light combined with snow on the ground can make for some great shooting. I'm saying could, because Gardermoen is very prone to fog. If the weather report says 'local fog', it will certainly be at Gardermoen and no-where else. With my luck, it was foggy. The 1st day was fogged up completely and pretty useless. The second day had a 'clear spot' in the approach where fog would move in and out. Those who know a bit about shooting in the various conditions know that FZFG (freezing fog) in the METAR or TAF means one thing: vortexes! So I did get some shots, and I would like to share some of them with you guys:
#1 Freezing fog does some crazy things:
#2 Norwegian 737
#3 Lufthansa Cityline CRJ-900
#4 Lovely scenery
#5 Norwegian 737
#6 Norwegian 737
#7 Norwegian 737
#8 Norwegian 737
#9 Lufthansa Cityline CRJ-200
#10 New years day, the flight home. Just my luck with the weather.....
Hope you guys enjoyed them!
