Very sad news from Airliners.net

Post by Key »

Self-explanatory...
http://www.airliners.net/paulo/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Paolo was fully involved in the tumultuous take-over of A.net by Demand Media, for which he worked. Lots of impopular changes that came with this take-over caused many an A.net afficionado (including me) to partly loose interest for the site. Paolo was involved in this but whenever he spoke, his passion for it all was clear. He will be remembered for his strong drive to make it all as good as can be, as far as he could under the directives of his bosses.

Wow, what a blow for Airliners ! And even worse for his family and friends.

Did you notice that Steve Fletcher also died in an aircraft crash this week? Steve Fletcher was working as an aircraft photographer for Key Publishing (Air Forces Monthly, FlyPast, Air International Today's Pilot). He died while doing an air-to-air photoshoot in Florida.

Fatalities in our hobby are pretty rare, and having two in one week is almost incomprehensible.

Sad regards,
Iwan
