enJust to let you know North Bay (YYB) is a 4hr drive north of YYZ and Sudbury (YSB) is a1.5hrs drive west of YYB. Been to YYB many times as my oldest daughter lives there. I have never had any problems there in fact the locals at YYB have been very receptive to me. As for the camper you should look up campsites in Ontario North(travel Ontario) and you should be able to fine suitable areas that you are looking for. The perimeter fence at YYB is no problem to look thru or to take pictures from. Hope this info will be of use to you.
Kijk maar of je er iets aan hebt. als er meer komt, gooi ik het in dit topic. As someone who hails from Waterloo and lives closes to Waterloo Regional, YKF, I can say that airport access with a camper is definitely doable.
Not sure what your buddy is into but YKF is quite an active biz field with 5 biz jets based plus visiting traffic to Toyota and RIM.
The RIM Falcons GXBB and GLBB
C560 GLMI plus normally one other at Air Sprint
A CJ1 which if memory serves me correctly is FXTC
Air Sprint have a base here and in addition to the citations above there are upwards of 4 PC12's.
Add to this a couple of TBM700's, T33's, a MU2 N40AM,various spindles, plus 3 daily Bearskin flights, 3 daily Northwest Saabs, a Westjet 737 and of course our two semi resident chinese C560's YKF is reasonably busy.
If he has time a visit to Centralia is also definitely worth it on a weekday. These guys a very spotter friendly.
enI'll answer about YYZ terminals. From the public domain (non-ticketed
passenger) the only spot that is worth some time would be in Terminal 3
at their extended International check-in area. Their are large windows
overlooking the Apron area in between Pier C (Terminal 3) and Pier D and
E of Terminal 1 ( Air Canada & Jazz primarily )
If you are a passenger with a valid boarding pass then you would have
much better opportunities, depending upon what flight and terminal you
are leaving from to observe from the end of the various Piers.
(Ben er vanuit gegaan dat je met de KLM vliegt.)KLM uses T3 at Toronto and the a/c will be parked on the international Pier (Pier C). From the end of this pier you can see most of what is coming and going at both T3 and T1 as well as some biz-jet traffic across the field at the Skyservice/Avitat FBO.
