British Airways G-VIIO made an emergency landing at Shannon today at 15:06, dont have much info just a few hastely shot photographs. Ill post more as detail come availible.

Interesting fact i pulled of

http://www.aaib.gov.uk/publications/bul ... g_viio.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

"Boeing 777-236

Location:
Off the coast of the USA during climb

Date of occurrence:
16 August 2004

Category:
Public transport - Fixed Wing

Summary:
The aircraft had departed Orlando airport in the USA on a scheduled flight to London Gatwick. The departure had been delayed due to the remnants of a hurricane to the northwest causing ATC delays. The weather radar was being used to scan the airspace ahead of the aircraft and showed storm cells some 50 nm to the left of the aircraft but none ahead. As the aircraft approached FL320, it was IMC in smooth conditions and the flight crew agreed to switch off the seat belt signs. Shortly after the aircraft emerged from IMC it encountered severe turbulence in which five crew members were slightly injured and one passenger suffered a broken ankle."
