TLP CSAR mission any good?

Post by SquAdmin »

I'm thinking about visiting Florennes next week Friday. In the TLP section I read there's a CSAR mission scheduled on that particular day. I suspect the Mi-35's to be flying, but how about the rest of the participants? Does any of you guys know if those CSAR missions usually involve the whole bunch or just some close air support aircraft?

Always the whole bunch!

The CSAR exercise is one of the aspects of the whole exercise. They perform a ground attack mission, during the mission a pilot has to be rescued, mudmovers clear the area, air defense remains on station, Close Air Support takes position near pilot, helo's move in, rescue pilot and move out, AD and CAS clear the area.

Does someone know the reason why the Swiss Hornets and the rest cancelled for today?
Any chance they will show up still next week, or they cancelled completely?
Any info is more as welcome...
