Arjan,

Can you confirm that the Tucano's are still flying from Salon? Information was that operations on the Tucano at Salon would end by april this year but at least at some French airshows, Tucano's were spotted. I will be in the south of France for the coming weeks and I still miss a few...

Many thanks in advance!

Well, that doesn't sound too great! Thanks for the info. Since I will enjoy my vacation in the close proximity I'll give at go anyway (maybe I'm lucky)..

On the other hand: with Orange and Marseille not so far away there is plenty of alternatives for a kerosine-junkie!

From memory i thought there's a fare-well ceremony on July 10th for the Tucano. Will ask for the exact date tonight.

Sorry Erik, Woelfie is correct it was on June 10th. Smal static show and a few flying aircraft, nothing special.

A well, there's enough to do in that area for spotting. (Istres, Marseille, Orange, Hyeres etc.)

Mark

Thanks for the confirmation Mark! and it is just as you said: there are enough alternatives in the vicinity. I will post the logs after my return.

Many thanks to all who contributed to this thread!

List is not complete. (i think)

ZF338 Tucano
439/312-UY Tucano
459/312-JD Tucano "Bye markings"
283/132-QI Mirage F1
F-GGNH TB-10
F-GUKL Grob120
5536/WK AS555AN "75Year Anniversary mks"

Formation of 4 Tucano's flew 458/312-JC, 466/312-JK, 488/312-UG, 489/312-UH.

Also some Tours Alpha-Jets, a Rafale, Epsilons incl Cartouche Doree were seen a couple of days before, not sure they were here on the 10th also.

And ofcourse Patrouille de France was there.....
