(notes: although the expected additional fighter aircraft for the current TLP flying course had been cancelled, I joined a tour of two spotting-friends to Florennes, just to enjoy the nice spring weather, the TLP flying and the pleasing companionship. While celebrating the birthday of one of our tour members with three bottles of cold beer already before midday, some patience was required until some interesting flying activity took place: the early arrival of a German C-160 was followed by a French TBM.700 two hours later. A very nice additional surprise where training approaches of three French Alpha Jets taking place just before the TLP mass-launch. The latter featured departure of 20 fighter aircraft and a supporting Falcon 20 without any ground-abort. Recoveries could be well enjoyed all alone on a grass field and featured a very nice four-ship approach of two Italian AMX’s and two Eurofighters. Some local flying of six based F-16s completed this nice log of another great day at “Superbase” Florennes ...)
A question, that hopefully will be answered, that was asked before ; Is it allready known if they will be flying this "Spottersday" , as there is stated that it will be a academic day.
If it is non flying I think a lot of people don't like to pay that amount for entrence.
And yes of course the weather always is a factor of cancelation.
Looks like the external assets for this week are cancelled or will arrive for only the last week...
The 2 AMI AMX were only visitors on the 18th last week...
