RAF Museum Laarbruch-Weeze

Post by Shannon spotter »

Hi lads,

Has anyone been to the RAF museum at Weeze airport yet?
I was thinking of going over when i go to Holland later this year but is it worth it?

Regards,
Dirk.

My personal opinion says "no"

I have been there, I like the surroundings more than the museum itself.

As far as I know there are (still) no aircraft in this museum. At another part of this airfield is a Canberra cockpit stored for this museum. I don't know when this part will be placed inside the museum.

Also at this airport are 4 Starfighters and 2 Fouga Magisters which can not be seen because they are parked inside shelters. These aircraft are stored on a closed and restricted part of the airport.

If you have the time take a tour to Hermeskeil, 2,5 hours more to the south.
That.s not so far from Trier, and Luxembourg!

Euh, maybe I am a stupid, but can you give me a clear clue?
What has Hermeskeil to do with Weeze?
Especially the Staffs and Fouga's?
