This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
I'm sorry maybe a little bit off topic, but I feel that I have to react.kiwi wrote:I'm assuming he was on base and they would have said something to him if it wasn't allowed?
Yep, there was the usual guidance by several persons from 'voorlichting' that day.kiwi wrote:I'm assuming he was on base and they would have said something to him if it wasn't allowed?
We didn't want to do the flightline again, just like the previous years. Otherwise there would have been more flightline pics of the F-15s, instead of take-off and landing. As said in another reaction in this topic there are some points on the airbase from where you are allowed to take pictures (for sure these are no flightline pics) and that's it
My reaction wasn't meant as 'betweterig', thanks for clearing it up I have never been on base on (official) occasions other than the Open Days so I don't know how things go on spotterdays. I have been on base (at Soesterberg for example) with my dad, just visiting, but I almost never took pictures then and the pictures I did take are for myself and do not find their way to the internet. Just thought maybe the RNLAF made exceptions for spotterdays and such.n.p.quist wrote:I'm sorry maybe a little bit off topic, but I feel that I have to react.kiwi wrote:I'm assuming he was on base and they would have said something to him if it wasn't allowed?
I do absolutely not agree with this, it's not possible for the Air Force to keep an eye on every visitor to the base.
As a visitor you must obey the rules .

Sorry Cris, and others, for the commotion. I should have typed that the photos where taking during the press day, and all pictures where taken under supervision of voorlichting (I already adjusted my story with my pictures). So I have nothing to do with spottersgroup or what so ever. I know spotters and personnel (and visitors like the KNVOL) have a more strict rules to live by when it comes down to photography. And I can confirm that there was the option to take flightline pictures if time permitted. But in the end we choose to take pictures of landing instead. That one picture of the F-15 on the flightline I took after approval of the nice lady of buro voorlichtingCrizz wrote:Just one question.. confirm you could take flightline pictures under supervision of "voorlichting" but you (and others) choose not to do so?We didn't want to do the flightline again, just like the previous years.
