On our third day in Japan we visited Hyakuri. Last time I was in Japan, I did not manage to shoot any RF-4s but this time luck was on our side. We started the day near the checkpoint for runways 03. There is a lot of construction going (they are resurfacing runway 03R) so you have to photograph carefully not to have bulldozers on your pictures. Nevertheless, a great spot for morning photography!

Around noon we went to the other site of the runway. As said, they are resurfacing runway 03R so all traffic uses the new runway 03L. As the base fence has stayed on the same location, photography is great here (80mm for a Phantom). It is rumoured that around October the military aircraft will use 03R again and 03L will only be used for civil aircraft.
