Below you can find the report of a couple of hours spent at Orly last week, made by my father ( PDZ ).
Paris-Orly: Friday June 12th
Good afternoon,
Ard, Hans, Joost and myself went for a daytrip to Paris on Friday June, 12th.
Our first port of call was Orly. We arrived at 07.45 am and stayed until 11.45 am. We found ourselves a pleasant spot near the hangars to observe the incoming traffic. We were also able to view the outbound traffic for a while, as an unusal runway combination was in use. Aircraft were arriving on runway 24 and most traffic departed form runway 20. Later they used 24 in mixed mode, so we moved on for a better view.
As Orly isn’t visited as often as the other airports of Paris, we were able to fill in quite a few gaps in our lists. For instance, three Air France A321s (F-GTAO, AP and AQ) which never visit Schiphol, arrived within the first half hour of our stay.
All in all it was a pleasant visit. Here are the results (excluding aircraft of Air France, Airlinair and Britair).
