So to make things clear ; We can expect the C-17 not before 1445LT as the NOTAM says.

Strange as Roberto says it will arrive before noon. Anybody with new arrival times???

06:00 2009 UNTIL 22 MAY 14:45 means 8:00 until 16:45 LOCAL TIME (GMT+2, summertime )

But this NOTAM is designed for regular traffic that want to visit leeuwarden this day. The CC-177 is planned already.

So, no traffic tomorroy at Leeuwarden, but "only" one CC-177 and a chopper inside 8)

Perhaps a unique chance for the photographers amongst us? It would be great to see those choppers in action at this location!

Drachten radio 120.6000MHz...

Yes, I know but at an airfield they are used to work with (flying/hovering) aircraft. I bet the SAR helicopters will operate off shore when active in the vincinity of Hindelopen Harbour.

good morning,
maybe this evening or else tomorrow I can hopefully tell you where they are going to operate in the harbour of hindeloopen (which is still the place it seems) or as the notam tells more distance from the coast.
The other option is of course vliegveld Drachten.

From 10.30 lt with intervals of 30 minutes the choppers will be arriving at airport Drachten. landing is the intention, receiving an envelope and take-off for their next "target".

Anybody who knows if the Canadian C-146 (AB412) is visable from outside the fence of the airfield during the non-flying-hours?

If yes, from what spot?

Thank you very much in advance!

Just heard that the exercise near Hindeloopen is taking place just as the NOTAM already mentioned: 2 miles out the coast. A pity.
